Anti-Corruption Populist Ecuadoran Presidential Candidate Fernando Villavicencio Assassinated

(Chaz Anon) In a scene reminiscent of past populist leaders being assassinated, Ecuadoran presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio was shot dead, allegedly by three different gunmen.

Villavicencio was known for speaking up against cartels and corruption and was shot and killed Wednesday at a political rally in the capital.

Mainstream press is blaming a “wave of gang-driven violence” in the South American country, but this hit looks like a classic CIA intelligence style operation.

According to ABC News:

The assassination of Fernando Villavicencio in Quito happened Wednesday, less than two weeks before a special presidential election. He was not a frontrunner, but his killing, which President Guillermo Lasso suggested could be linked to organized crime, furthered a crisis that has already claimed thousands of lives and underscored the deep challenge that the country’s next leader will face.

Alleged members of the criminal gang "Los Lobos" claim to be the perpetrators of the attack that ended the life of #FernandoVillavicencio and issued threats against the candidate.

But leftist Terrorist groups such as Antifa, ELN, which act as subdivision of the Deep State are also suspected by populist groups.

Villavicencio had plans to take the same approach to crime as President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador.
