Senator Rand Paul Defends TikTok's Right To Exist

(Chaz Anon) Senator Rand Paul went on Fox News to defend TikTok against the Deep State’s move to control and censor the social media platform.

The Kentucky Republican has been one of the few voices in Congress to express opposition to banning TikTok in the United States.

He has voiced concerns about government overreach and the importance of protecting free speech, even when it comes to controversial platforms like TikTok.

The reality of the situation is that the Deep State power players want to get control of the social media platform for two reasons. The main reason is to control the anti-Israeli narrative and conspiracy theories that have been proliferating quickly on the platform. The other is the potential to own the most popular social media platform in America today.

Former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has announced his intention to form a consortium aimed at purchasing TikTok, signaling a push to separate the widely-used social media app from its Chinese proprietors, a move that is gaining traction in Congress.

Mnuchin, a vocal critic of the app's Chinese ownership, has not detailed his acquisition strategy for the platform, which might be valued at over $100 billion. However, his statements indicate a robust interest in acquiring TikTok, which has over 170 million users in the U.S., should a forced divestiture occur.

“I think the legislation should pass and I think it should be sold,” Mnuchin said on CNBC Thursday morning. “It’s a great business and I’m going to put together a group to buy TikTok.”
