AOC Lies When Confronted Over ‘You Almost Had Me Murdered’ Tweet, Says ‘That’s Not The Quote’

(Gabriel Keane) That is, in fact, the quote.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) became flustered when confronted over an allegation she made in January that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) “almost had me murdered” and was “trying to get me killed,” falsely claiming that she never made such a statement before scurrying away from the press scrum.

On January 28 at 12:46 p.m. Eastern Time, Ocasio-Cortez Cortez quote-retweeted Cruz with the following message: “I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.”

Ocasio-Cortez was asked about her claims against Cruz on video, and appeared woefully unprepared for the conversation.

When why she quote-retweeted that Ted Cruz tried to have her murdered, the freshman rep. shifted her face mask and replied, “Okay, so, um, that’s not the quote and, um, and I will not apologize for what I said.”

The interview was then quickly interrupted by a woman with Ocasio-Cortez who said, “Guys I think we’re actually done this morning, thank you so much.”

Ocasio-Cortez then turned and walked away briskly with her head bowed.

The Democrat twitter personality also drew mockery last week for urging supporters to mass report hashtags poking fun at her in an email blast:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) begged supporters to mass report the viral #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett hashtag on Facebook and Twitter this week, signalling that she is not handling the fallout from her debunked tales of fearing for her life and hiding from pro-Trump protesters who were “trying to kill” her on Jan. 6 all that well.

In an email sent from Team AOC, supporters of Ocasio-Cortez are asked for their help in forcing “Facebook and Twitter to take action and enforce their own rules.”

“We need your help,” the email reads. “Here’s what you can do… scan your social media to find posts with this misleading information, especially those using the trending hashtag. Don’t tweet any hashtags yourself, because we don’t want to spread them further!”

Supporters are then commanded to “Identify any posts that are threatening or harassing and use the built-in report features to flag them for moderators. Facebook and Twitter both have built-in tools for reporting posts and tweets that break the rules.”

No evidence exists that Cruz or other GOP officials almost had Ocasio-Cortez murdered or tried to kill her during Jan. 6 Stop The Steal protests.
